In about 45 minutes, Dr. Schamma Salomon, MD, FACP, a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, walks you through your own blood work the way he wishes every patient had it explained: calmly, clearly, and in plain English. You will finally learn how to actually read a lab report — the ranges, the flags, the units, and why the word normal means far less than you think. Then, panel by panel, you will understand the everyday tests almost everyone gets: the CBC (your blood cell census), the metabolic panel (a dashboard for your sugar, kidneys, electrolytes, and liver), the lipid panel (LDL, HDL, and triglycerides without the fear), A1C (the number that remembers the last three months of blood sugar), and the thyroid panel behind so much fatigue. You will learn what commonly pushes each number up or down, why out of range is not automatically bad, and the small handful of results that genuinely deserve a prompt call to your doctor. Most of all, you will trade anxiety for confidence and walk into your next appointment as a partner, not a patient in the dark.
